Dr. April Gardner hails from the east coast. She grew up in northern Virginia before heading to New York City as an undergraduate. She earned a B.S. in Biology with honors from St. John’s University in 2016. She then moved back to Virginia and graduated with both a Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2020 from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA.
Looking for an adventure, Dr. Gardner moved to Washington immediately following graduation. She loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, and rock climbing. She also enjoys cooking and yoga. She is excited to explore the pacific northwest and welcomes any and all recommendations!
Dr. Gardner enjoys working with both dogs and cats. She has special interests in behavior, Fear Free, preventative care, internal medicine, and surgery. Dr. Gardner understands that pets are more than just animals – they’re a part of the family. The best part of her job is fostering the human-animal bond through client education and treating each patient as she would treat her own pet.
