Reber Ranch has been a platinum sponsor at the Enumclaw Pro Rodeo for years. This year when the rodeo mentioned that they were having a special “pink night” to support Beau Ward we wanted to know what that was all about. Here is his story:

Beau is a 10 year old boy who enjoys just about all outdoor activities ranging from hunting and fishing to his long list of sports like football, basketball and baseball. His favorite professional team is the Seahawks, GO HAWKS! Ever since he saw the NFL wear hot pink for breast cancer awareness he has been hooked on the color. He is a social butterfly that always wants to be with his friends and family playing games and just hanging out. Like any 10 year old boy he is full of energy and life, keeping everyone on their toes when he is around.

On Friday May 22, 2015 (Memorial weekend) Beau was involved in a campfire explosion, which resulted in 64% of his body to be covered in 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Beau was immediately air lifted to Harborview Medical Center, where he has remained, undergoing 12 surgeries (as of July 15th). Beau will eventually be admitted to Children’s Hospital where he will have intense physical therapy. As you can see, he has a long road to recovery.

Reber Ranch wanted to support Beau too and had special pink shirts made that were sold as a fundraiser to help Beau’s family with his medical bills. Thanks to everyone that purchased a shirt we were able to raise $1,400 to donate to Beau’s medical bills. We wish Beau well as he continues to recover.
